24 hours in Disneyland

A while back Cristina Alesci from CNN Money ran an article and posted a video about some special days at Disneyland where they remain open for 24 hours. That got me to thinking about how much fun it would be for me to have an all access pass to Disneyland where I could go anywhere I wanted. I don’t want to say that this would be my dream job because, well, then it would just be a job, but to have some other sort of job like Tony Baxter or a job as an Imagineer where I would still be working within the Disney organization in a cool position and have access to the park whenever I needed. Or even something like Leslie Iwerks and her relationship with Disney, DreamWorks and Pixar.

Clearly Cristina is not a huge fan of Disneyland as I deduced by her comments in her report, “I would never choose to spend 24 hours and hundreds of dollars inside a Disney park just to feel like a kid again but at least now I understand why people do” and “This is my own personal Hell.”

Maybe fun and excitement and living life just aren’t a thing for Cristina. “I have been up for seven hours and am getting a little sluggish…” but then she confused me by saying, “The rides are fun but this isn’t Six Flags.” So maybe she does like excitement and fun?

But for me, I totally am a fan of Disneyland and would love to just be able to wander around the park and all of it’s not open to the public locations whenever I wanted to. So where would I go in the park? I would love to wander around places like the emergancy exit walkways in Pirates of the Caribbean or I would love to go to the secret basketball court at the top of the Matterhorn. Imagine how much fun it would be to walk around inside the cave system at finding Nemo.

Brenna says it would sort of ruin the magic for her. Sort of like a magic trick. If you know how it’s done, if you know what the secret is, then it ruins the magic she said. I sort of disagree in that if I know how it’s done I can sometimes even more so appreciate the final effect.

So how about you? Would you like to have all access to Disneyland? Where would you go? What would you explore? Would you go to Disneyland for 24 straight hours?

Leave your comments below. I would love to hear your opinion.
