Mother Nature knows what she is doing…

This was a post that was lost in the file overwrite fiasco but I like it so am posting it again. In it I am questioning Mother Nature, which is probably not a skillfull action.
I have added an update at the end.

“Hey Spider. What are you doing? That is a stupid place to build a web. You are never gonna catch a meal with a web on my patio chair. It is 90* and you are in the direct sun. You are so tiny and young. You will never survive. You just don’t know. If you are alive tomorrow I will move you to the garden.”

“Hey little Spider. I see you survived the last 24 hours. I will move you tomorrow to the garden as you will never make it here on the patio. I am a human with text books and Google and I know better than you. Try to make it another day and I will help you.”

The next day…

“Hey little buddy. Wow! You caught something! Good for you! Hope it was tasty. Ok, I will leave you there on the patio chair and you can stay if you want but you may wanna consider getting out of the sun and over there into the plants. It is only ten feet away and though that may seem like a great distance you will prosper over there.”

A few days later…

“Good morning Mr. Spider. I see you have another capture. Great. But it is gonna thunderstorm tonight. You may wanna head over to the garden. I can help move you.”

The voice in my head I call ‘Universe’ advises me to leave him alone. “He is doing fine. He is eating and growing bigger. He is going to be just fine.”

A few days later…

“Hey Mr. Spider. You survived the storm and look at that! You made a second web. Awesome. But how is that you have six pieces of food in your first web and the new one is clean? Are the bugs flying from the garden toward the light of the house and flying into your web while you hang out on the clean web between the first web and the house? Clever little buddy. Good job!”

And the voice in my head reminds me, “I know what I am doing. I ingrained the knowledge of what to do in the spider’s DNA. He is gonna be just fine and will serve his purpose on earth. Let him be. We know what is best.”

UPDATE: A few days after that post was originally published there was another pretty big wind storm and my little buddy’s home was knocked down. The next day Brenna found a web in another location in the garden over by the wall in the shade though I did not see a spider in it so maybe… Either way I am sure our friend is safe. Mother Nature somehow seems to know what she is doing.
